Marketing Intern

Shield Engineering Group is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Team in developing, producing, coordinating and implementing various internal and external related marketing deliverables and services. This position requires a personable candidate with an ability to assist the overall Business Operations Team in a compelling and innovative way. The individual must have strong organizational skills and have professional writing competencies.

Duties

Assist in creating engaging content and scheduling social media posts on platforms such as LinkedIn, FaceBook and Instagram.
Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and messages.
Compile and organize social media data to create reports for internal use.
Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm content ideas that align with Shield’s brand and target audience.
Attend site visits to collect B-roll/stock footage.
Support the Marketing Team by collecting marketing materials.
Inquire pricing from different vendors for promotional items, marketing materials and company events.
Provide general support to the marketing team, including organizing files, promotional items and print material.
Assist in event coordination.
Collaborate with Marketing Team to develop content for company newsletter.
Assist in compiling successful RFPs/SOQs including project sheets and resumes.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Must be in college or graduated within a year majoring in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or similarly related field.
Familiar with various computer applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Acrobat and Office 365.
Understanding of social media outlets and trends.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in teams.
Detail oriented.
Time management skills and ability to multi-task.
