Shield designed slope stabilization improvements along Heath Creek next to the Methodist Transitional Care Facility in DeSoto, including grading work, flume repairs and permanent erosion control.

As part of this private project, the team coordinated with the City of DeSoto to secure required permits and prepared a full design submittal package with drainage mapping and improved flume designs. The selected erosion control product was Flexamat Plus UV-T, with approximately 1,700 SF installed.

In November 2024, the project scope was expanded to add two parking spaces that had previously been removed due to streambank erosion.
